FCA US LLC is recalling more than 130,000 Ram trucks equipped with Cummins diesel engines because of an electric issue that may cause a fire while parked.

This is a recall that should be taken very seriously as there have been reports of 7 related fires so far. As of yet, there is no fix for this issue so, in the meantime, Ram is urging owners of affected models to not park their trucks in a garage, near a building structure or other vehicles. The recall includes 2021 and 2022 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 models. Owners will be notified as soon as repairs are available.

To find out if your truck is part of the recall, visit the NHTSA website and look for campaign number 21V798.

If you own a Ram vehicle and are experiencing issues that haven’t been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts while under warranty, Lemon Law Aid can help you file a California lemon claim to get it replaced or repurchased. For more information and a free consultation, fill out the form below.
