Jeep Wrangler Gladiator Fire Recall

Jeep is recalling 1,076,999 Wrangler and Gladiator models because of an issue within the electric hydraulic power steering pump, which may cause wires to overheat and start a fire, even when the vehicles are parked.

The recall includes 2021–2025 Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. A “Service Power Steering” message or loss of power steering may signal that your vehicle is affected.

Owners of affected models are urged to park outside, away from buildings and other vehicles.

As of May 2026, 147 related incidents and one potential injury have been reported.

Owners will be notified by mail starting July 8, 2026. FCA is currently working on a fix. Jeep owners can also check the NHTSA website with their VIN to find out whether there are any pending recalls.

If you’re experiencing issues with a 2021 – 2026 Jeep vehicle that have not been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts while under warranty, Joseph Kaufman and Associates can help you file a lemon claim seeking a repurchase or cash settlement.
