Ford Motor Company is recalling 42,652 2022 – 2023 Bronco Sport and 2022 Escape models because of a leak caused by a cracked fuel injector. According to NHTSA, the manufacturer discovered the leak while inspecting several Ford Broncos that had experienced fires under the hood.
Ford Motor Company will start notifying owners and lessors of these vehicles in April 2024 and will provide a fix free of charge at their local dealership, including the installation of a drain tube and a software update. You can also call Ford’s customer service with recall number 24S16 or check the NHTSA website with your VIN number to find out if there are any pending recalls.
