Honda Motor Company is recalling Honda Odyssey minivans because defective side airbags might deploy unexpectedly when hitting bumps, increasing the risk of injury.
The models affected by this recall include but are not limited to 2021 and 2022 Honda Odyssey vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, there have been 130 warranty claims and 25 related injuries as of April 2, 2026. No fatalities have been reported so far.

Honda will address the defect by reprograming or replacing the electrical units at no cost to vehicle owners.

Odyssey drivers will be notified to bring their vehicle to an authorized dealership. They can also call the manufacturer’s custom service at 888-234-2138 or check the NHTSA website with their VIN number to find out if there are any pending recalls.

If you’re experiencing issues with a 2021 – 2026 Honda Odyssey that have not been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts while under warranty, Joseph Kaufman and Associates can help you file a lemon claim seeking a repurchase or cash settlement.
