Least Reliable Vehicles of 2026

The American magazine Consumer Reports has just released its list of the least reliable vehicles, updated for new 2026 models. The study was based on surveys sent to owners of 380,000 cars and SUV’s. The survey covered 20 areas including brakes, infotainment systems, engine performance and EV charging. Each vehicle’s predicted reliability score is rated on a scale from 1 to 100.

Here is the list of the least reliable cars for 2026:

10. Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid – 26/100
9. Honda Prologue – 25/100
8. KIA EV6 – 25/100
7. KIA EV9 – 24/100
6. Mazda CX-90 – 23/100
5. Genesis GV60 – 21/100
4. Mazda CX-90 Plug-in Hybrid – 20/100
3. Chevrolet Blazer EV – 19/100
2. Rivian R1T – 18/100
1. GMC Acadia – 4/100

While it won’t come as a surprise that 2 of the “top 3” are GM models, what’s noticeable this year is that most offenders are EV vehicles, most particularly from Japanese and Korean automakers.
