The Chevrolet 2017 to 2019 Silverado 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 and 6600 vehicles are getting recalled, along the GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500, due to fire risk. An issue with the engine block heater cord may cause short circuits which might result in fire.

While there have been no reports of related injuries and accidents so far, you should bring back your vehicle as soon as possible to your dealership to get this faulty cord replaced, especially if there is a burning smell or blown fuses.

If you own a Silverado or Sierra and are experiencing issues which have not been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts, Lemon Law Aid can help you file a lemon claim to get your vehicle replaced or repurchased.
