General Motors

General Motors LLC is refusing to recall over 20 million vehicles containing airbags that could rupture during a crash, projecting metal shrapnel into passengers and drivers alike.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stresses that a recall would address the risk of people being injured or killed and that one out every 370,000 airbag inflators will encounter this problem. According to the Wall Street Journal, 2 people have been killed by this issue and several more injured.

GM claims that they are monitoring the situation and that no recall is needed, leaving drivers wondering if they are driving dangerous vehicles. The NTHSA will announce its decision regarding a recall soon.
