This follows incidents and a recall of over 154,000 2020 – 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022 – 2024 Jeep Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe electric models due a defective high-voltage battery pack that could cause fires while parked, charging or driving.
Because the risk of a fire persists even after completion of the recall, these restrictions are scheduled to be enforced until the battery recall issues have been successfully resolved.
